Make the bed in global-chic style with our dreamy Khadi Bedcover. This effortlessly beautiful blanket comes to us from India, where it was handmade from start to finish by a local craft community and purchased using the principles of Fair Trade. As its name suggests, it’s made from khadi fabric — a sustainable material crafted from hand-spun and woven cotton, silk or wool on a traditional charkha, or spinning wheel. A symbol of India’s freedom movement, this fabric gained popularity in the 1920s when it was promoted by Mahatma Gandhi as both a method for self-employment and a way to boycott British fabric mills. Crafted following those same techniques, our Khadi Bedcover is made from several panels of fabric, which have been stitched together and dyed with an irregular striped pattern using natural indigo dyes. Exposed black stitching connecting these panels and decorating its edges add to Khadi’s handmade feel. Perfect as a lightweight layer on the bed, we also love Khadi for curling up with in the living room or as a boho-chic beach or picnic blanket.

  • LOCAL DELIVERY — Your order will be delivered by our Chicagoland delivery team, we will contact you to set up a delivery appointment. They will unwrap, inspect, assemble and place your item in your home.

Return Policy

Non-furniture Merchandise
All books, candles, plants and bath products are final sale. All other non-furniture items can be returned for a full refund, as long as they are returned within either 30 days of purchase if bought in store or 30 days after the order was received if bought on our website. We will inspect the returned item(s) and issue a refund to the same credit card used for original purchase. You will receive a confirmation email once we have processed your credit. All shipping charges are non-refundable and will be deducted from your refund.


In-stock Furniture Items

We accept returns of furniture in its original condition when you contact us within 14 days of receiving your item. To receive a full refund, call us at 800.472.1885 or email us at [email protected]. We will arrange to have the item(s) picked up by a local freight company, who will contact you to coordinate pick up. Once returned to our warehouse, we will inspect your item(s) and issue a refund accordingly. Damage or other conditional issues may require deductions from your refund. All shipping charges are non-refundable and will be deducted from your refund.


Closeout Merchandise

Closeout items purchased on our website can be returned for store credit only, as long as we receive your item(s) within 30 days of the original delivery. Once we have received and inspected the returned item(s), we will issue your store credit via email. All shipping charges are non-refundable and will be deducted from your store credit.
